In a recent interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Hannah Waddingham shared exciting news about just how the hosting duties will be distributed in the Eurovision 2023 Grand Final on 13 May!
The British actress, known for her role as Rebecca Welton in the hit TV series “Ted Lasso,” was announced as one of the four hosts of the 67th Eurovision Song Contest, a few weeks ago, and has now revealed, on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, while promoting Ted Lasso‘s third season, that she and Graham Norton will be presenting the jury votes in the Grand Final.
Presumably this also means that, the two other hosts, Alesha Dixon and Julia Sanina will be conducting Green Room interviews during this period. It is unknown whether the hosting line-up will change, as usually happens, for the televoting results.
It has been thought that Hannah Waddingham has been chosen to lead this iconic sequence due to her multi-linguistic abilities, especially when it comes to the all-important French translations of the incoming points!
Graham Norton, who will be presenting the jury results alongside Waddingham, has been the United Kingdom’s commentator on BBC One since 2009, and previously hosted both editions of the Eurovision Dance Contest with Claudia Winkleman. As well as hosting the Grand Final of Eurovision 2023, he will also provide commentary, when not on stage, alongside Mel Giedroyc, who will be the UK’s first female Grand Final commentator. Assumedly, with Norton on stage, Giedroyc will be commentating throughout the jury voting sequence alone.
