The Serbian Delegation has revealed that they had wanted to use English subtitles throughout her performance of In Corpore Sano, but the EBU intervened.
In Corpore Sano, Serbia’s entry this year for the Eurovision Song Contest, features many complex and philosophical lyrics in Latin and Serbian. Like with the music video Konstrakta and the Serbian Delegation have planned for English subtitles to be present throughout the whole performance, but the European Broadcasting Union banned them from doing this. Instead one-off subtitle translations for some of the more important lyrics will feature, but these represent about just 10% of the full lyrics.
Konstrakta commentated on the matter, by saying: “If you ask me, I would put the full lyrics in subtitles. But the regulations did not allow this. And nobody asks me… However we hope this is enough for people to understand the meaning of the song.“
Serbia will perform 3rd in the second Semi Final tonight.
