Azerbaijan is gearing up to make its mark on the international stage once again, with the release of its 2023 Eurovision Song Contest entry by TuralTuranX.
The song, titled “Tell Me More,” has been written by Tural and Turan, with an arrangement by Nihad Aliyev. It is the first time in over a decade that an entirely Azeri team has composed an entry for the competition.
TuralTuranX, the duo behind the song, were internally selected to represent Azerbaijan in the 67th edition of Eurovision, which will be held in Liverpool. They were chosen from a shortlist of five artists following a rigorous selection process, which included auditions, studio recordings, and live performances that were shared with a focus group.
The Azeri team behind “Tell Me More” have created a catchy and contemporary pop song that will be performed entirely in English. The track features upbeat melodies, electronic beats, and strong vocals, showcasing the duo’s musical talent and versatility.
TuralTuranX will be performing “Tell Me More” in the second half of the first semi-final, which will take place on May 9th. They will be hoping to impress the judges and secure a place in the grand final, where they will compete against entries from across Europe and beyond.
The nation has a strong track record in the competition, having won once and placed in the top 10 on several occasions. With “Tell Me More,” TuralTuranX and their team are aiming to add another chapter to Azerbaijan’s Eurovision success story, and bring home the trophy once again.
