After being announced as the Eurovision representative for Israel 2023, there was some uncertainty around Noa Kirel’s participation, but she has now been officially announced to go to the UK, next year!
It’s a great honor that they chose me. It’s really exciting, and as a kid I always watched Eurovision. So there’s something very grand about it, a lot of responsibility on my shoulders.

Noa had some initial concerns though, in the same interview she went on to say “I’m taking a few days off to understand what’s happening. It’s a really big deal.”
The following day with an interview Israeli newspaper Maariv, Noa said ““Is this the thing that will expose me to the world? Or could it be the other way around? That’s why I need to brainstorm and understand how I approach this.”
On August 10 she was her participation was officially confirmed. At a press conference in Tel Aviv she said “Thank you for all the love you are spreading, for the huge support you gave me from the moment I was chosen and for the privilege to represent my country.” she then went on to say “The fact that I succeed here in Israel doesn’t mean that I arrive and automatically win. It doesn’t work like that.”
There have also been reports from multiple outlets that Doron Medalie composer of Israeli Eurovision entries “Golden Boy”, “Made of Stars”, “Feker Libi” and Netta Barzilai’s 2018 winning song “Toy” is in discussion with Noa’s Team. His involvement has yet to be confirmed along with the song selection method.
Further updates on Israel’s entry are expected in the New Year.
